Before arriving in Sarasota in 1991, Tom was a licensed Realtor in New Jersey where he sold $6 million in property in his first six months as a realtor in 1986. Only four years later— in 1990—while working for RE/MAX in Ridgewood, New Jersey, he was recognized as the top-producing agent in the state. He also held the extraordinary track record of selling 70 percent of his own listings.


Upon arriving in Florida, the Hanlys continued their association with RE/MAX  before opening their own brokerage - Hanly & Associates


They continue to be ranked among the top one percent of Realtors in the United States.  Tom and Pat bring an extraordinary understanding of marketing to their business, having both had outstanding careers in New York City’s fashion industry before transferring their energy and success to real estate. Tom ran his own international design and manufacturing company specializing in ladies’ couture while Pat held executive positions with Saks Fifth Avenue. 


 They are joined by Spencer Hanly, their son.  Spencer attended Out Of Door Academy, Sarasota High School and State College of Florida. He is very active with animal rescue and rehabilitation across the country.  Before coming back to Sarasota, he worked as an agent in the Miami  area where he specialized in waterfront properties.
